Career OverviewBeing a drug experience coordinator involves monitoring and tracking the drug tests and clinical trials as well as investigating, reporting and determining the factors involved in all adverse test results in clinical trials. The drug experience coordinator is also responsible for determining and communicating the adverse effects that the drug may have to both the clinical coordinators as well as to the general public.
The drug experience coordinator should be able to troubleshoot and look for patterns in and adverse or negative responses in clinical trials and should have excellent communication skills as well as a complete knowledge of drugs and adverse reactions. The drug experience coordinator may also be involved in modifying the warnings and information found on current drugs on the market as new information from ongoing trials is determined.
The drug experience coordinator often may interview patients or clients individually or may rely on written reports or documentation. Organizational and computer skills are required to handle the large amount of information that needs to be documented, processed, recorded and investigated.
