Biotechnology is a multi-faceted industry which combines disciplines like genetics, molecular biology, biochemistry, embryology and cell biology, which are in turn linked to practical disciplines like chemical engineering, information technology, and robotics. This is the high tech business end of the healthcare industry with promises of innovative and novel approaches to drug treatment to meet the needs of an aging US population and poor countries.
Increasing investments in the biotechnology sector in recent years has also brought about an increase in the number of biotechnology positions available, and as the sector it evolves, it would continue to be interesting times for those involved.
